What are some of the main reasons that inbound* leads (from Google/YouTube ads) fail to convert? Targeting used : owners of construction/home services contractors, who are “in market” for advertising services (one of the options already provided in in-market audiences).
Recently ran a YouTube ad and had a few calls scheduled, all of them failed.
A) guy scheduled call, only to tell me as soon as it started “let’s please reschedule tomorrow I got busy now” , then called tomorrow and no answer. Texted him asking if he still needs my help, and he answered: “I will. I’m going to need a few days to get freed up, but I’ll let you know”.
B) another guy scheduled call, we actually had great rapport and the call when very smoothly (at least seemed that way), told him “ok let me email you in writing the different options we discussed, to discuss with your partner”, and after that completely ghosted and doesn’t reply to any followup. (Thought I really had this one, no sign at all was given he would flake, even the form he filled out to schedule the call showed he was a bit “desperate”).
C) another guy liked the idea of the service and everything about it, but at the end started almost angrily asking me to justify why I was charging just $150 more than another competitor?
Anyway, I thought that the ad targeting I used would weed out some of this type of prospects. There were few other calls, but none of them were willing to pay on the spot at the end of the call, even though they (supposedly) liked and needed the service, but needed to think about it.
Open to any input from the more experienced agency owners here !

If the YouTube video ad briefly goes over a case study (which shows an actual result), would there be other reasons for the above ??

* Thesis: The problem is not finding interesting clients – i.e. clients with money and the will to seek professional help; there are more than enough of them.
Rather, the real problem is trust – making these customers believe that I am really capable of solving their problems.

* How did you get your first client ??
* Agency Partnerships: Hey guys I am struggling to get the most out of my partnership. How do people go about advertising within their partnerships? Obviously getting included in their newsletter, is there more of an aggressive way? Has anyone tried outbound within their partnership? I am curious to see how people go about this. I have a number of partnerships mainly medical device companies and starting to move into associations.
* Does anyone offer a lead follow up and booking service as an add on to you marketing services? To help clients who are fumbling leads or do not have the time to follow up. What has your experience been? Is it worth the hassle?
* Have you had success in driving business to your marketing agency with Facebook Ads?
